James 4:11-12, Matthew 7:1-6, John 3:16

As part of the mini series on Judging out of James we decided to read Phil Visher's story entitled Sidney and Norman. After reading the story Pastor Darcy gave a little context, sharing from Phil Visher's life and marriage, how and why he wrote this story. Like Phil, so often the people we judge the most harshly are the ones we love the most; the one's closest to us. A couple of invitations in the story. 1st - Don't look down on others, simply because "things" don't come as easily for them. God loves them just as much as He loves us. Don't look down on those God loves. 2nd - The Father invites you and I to 77 Elm Street on a daily basis; multiple times a day to be with Him, and hear what He has to say. That place is intimacy with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit - where we go to discover who God is, and who we are in Him.
