What I do: I teach mathematics and computer science at Northeastern University. I am married to Karen, and moved to Squamish in February 2013.
How long have I been at The River Church: since early 2013. I am privileged to be an active member of the Tantalus Simple Church, which consists of couples of all ages. In addition, I have taught Sunday School to the teens of the church, and currently co-lead a thriving Men's Group with Jim Neudorf.
One thing most people don't know about me: I am the author of "The Math Olympian", a 475-page novel that seeks to inspire young people with the message that with inspired teaching and mentorship, anyone can succeed in mathematics and develop the confidence, creativity, and critical-thinking skills so essential in life.
A few of my favourite things: reading and writing, playing basketball at Totem Hall, running, creating original problems for national math contests, and playing Mini-Golf at Whistle Punk Hollow.
The River Church has joined www.simplechurches.ca - a network of house churches started in the Vancouver area in 2006. Together we're praying that the long history of good ministry in the Squamish area will expand. We're praying for a regional network of house churches from Lions Bay to Lillooet. Would you consider joining us in our mission?
