This is a Sunday where we give more time to the previous Sunday's message for the purpose of allowing it to go deeper; we don't want to jump ahead before the Holy Spirit tells us it's time to do so.
So as we spent more time in this text, focussing on God as our Rescuer, I believe the Holy Spirit did allow it to go deeper.
